PLATTSBURGH, NEW YORK – The grim hand of justice has reached out to Bradley Vincent, a 38-year-old man from Chazy, New York, as he faces federal charges for the heinous crimes of sexual exploitation of a child and distributing child pornography.
The indictment claims that on February 18, 2024, Vincent coerced a then-15-year-old girl into participating in sexually explicit conduct, recording the act for his own sick purposes. The charges against him are no mere flimsy accusations; they carry the weight of a broken system’s failure to protect innocent lives.
Acting United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III echoed the outrage, stating, ‘Vincent’s actions are despicable and will be prosecuted without mercy.’ Sarcone also expressed his gratitude to local and state partners for their relentless pursuit of justice in this case.
The defendant, who has a prior state conviction for aggravated sexual abuse or sexual abuse, was shockingly sentenced only to probation. This incident underscores the need for systemic reform to better protect children from predators like Vincent.
Should Vincent be found guilty, he faces a maximum sentence of 50 years in prison, a mandatory minimum of 25 years, fines up to $250,000, and a term of supervised release that could last anywhere from 5 years to life. Assistant U.S. Attorney Carling Dunham is leading the prosecution.
Investigations into Vincent’s crimes are ongoing with the help of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the New York State Police (NYSP).
