Child Porn Charges for North Ridgeville Man

Grimy Times has learned that Sean M. Barnhill, 36, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, is facing serious child pornography charges.

According to court documents, Barnhill knowingly received and distributed numerous computer files containing visual depictions of real minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct from August 1, 2014, to August 30, 2014. The indictment also alleges that between September 1, 2013, and January 8, 2015, Barnhill accessed his computer with the intent to view images of child pornography.

Barnhill’s charges stem from a thorough investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Elyria Office, which was led by Assistant United States Attorney Carol M. Skutnik. ‘An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt,’ said a DOJ spokesperson. ‘A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.’

Sean M. Barnhill is a 36-year-old North Ridgeville resident, who faces severe penalties if convicted.
