MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – In a chilling case that shocked Fort Towson, Oklahoma, Ashlie Nicole Rose Martin, 22, Chad Jon’Dale Voyles, 23, and Bryson Noel Miller, 19, were sentenced to lengthy prison terms for their roles in a 2020 double homicide.
Martin was handed a sentence of 456 months for conspiracy to commit murder. Voyles received 420 months for murder in Indian Country, while Miller was sentenced to 300 months for the same charge. The trio’s crimes stemmed from an investigation by the FBI, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, and local law enforcement agencies.
On December 22, 2020, Martin convinced her young friends to participate in a heinous act. Voyles and Miller broke into Martin’s home through a rear window and brutally murdered her mother. The trio then buried her in the backyard before attempting to flee.
The night took a darker turn as Martin’s father arrived home. Voyles ambushed him with a compound bow, but missed his target. In the struggle that followed, Miller struck the man in the head with a dumbbell, rendering him unconscious. Voyles and Miller subsequently set the house ablaze, ensuring their escape.
FBI Oklahoma City Acting Special Agent in Charge Joe Ogden emphasized the severity of the defendants’ actions, stating they belonged behind bars. United States Attorney Christopher J. Wilson echoed these sentiments, noting that although sentences cannot undo the tragedy, they do protect the community from three dangerous individuals.
The Honorable David C. Joseph presided over the hearing, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin D. Traster representing the United States. The defendants will remain in US Marshals Service custody until transported to federal prisons to serve their non-paroleable sentences.
