Roger Bleen, a 43-year-old Smyrna resident, pleaded guilty to distributing cocaine and illegally possessing a firearm in Delaware. On October 14, 2025, Bleen sold approximately 273 grams of cocaine outside a convenience store in Kent County, part of a larger pattern of trafficking that spanned multiple months. As a previously convicted felon, Bleen was prohibited from possessing firearms, but a search warrant found a loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson M&P Shield EZ handgun in his bedroom closet.
Bleen’s operation was linked to a broader cocaine- and fentanyl-trafficking organization, which involved associate Nugi Nichols, who pleaded guilty to cocaine distribution on June 1, 2026. The investigation and guilty plea are the result of a joint effort between the DEA, FBI, and Dover Police Department, aiming to stop the flow of drugs into Delaware and hold felons accountable for firearm possession.
According to U.S. Attorney Benjamin L. Wallace, ‘Drug traffickers who arm themselves compound the danger they pose to our communities.’ The guilty plea reflects the commitment of law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking and firearm possession in Delaware. DEA Philadelphia Special Agent in Charge Timothy S. Flaherty emphasized that ‘the threat posed by these organizations has never been higher, but law enforcement at every level is rising to meet it.’
