A 24-year-old man from Conehatta, Mississippi, has been slapped with an 8-year federal prison sentence for preying on two minors under the age of 16. Quindon Bailey John, 24, carried out his heinous crimes between an unspecified date and February 2024.
John was indicted by a federal grand jury in February 2024 and copped a guilty plea in July 2025. The grim details emerged in court documents, which revealed the extent of his depravity.
The Choctaw Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation led the investigation into John’s crimes. Assistant United States Attorneys Kevin J. Payne, Brian K. Burns, and Special Assistant United States Attorney Kalleigh McCoy prosecuted the case.
U.S. Attorney Baxter Kruger and FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert Eikhoff made the announcement. The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006.
