BOSTON – Federal Judge George O’Toole Jr. has ordered convicted sex trafficker Jermall Anderson to pay over $1.5 million in restitution to seven women he exploited over a four-year period.
Anderson, 45, of Tewksbury, Mass., was sentenced to 15 years in prison on March 12, 2025, for sex trafficking across New England, New York, and New Jersey. He pleaded guilty to seven counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion, one count of coercion and enticement, and one count of interstate transportation for the purpose of prostitution.
The court awarded individual restitution amounts as follows: Survivor 1: $508,000; Survivor 2: $40,000; Survivor 3: $91,300; Survivor 4: $252,000; Survivor 5: $264,000; Survivor 6: $10,000; and Survivor 7: $345,000.
From 2012 to 2016, Anderson, along with his co-conspirators, used violence, threats, and drugs to force vulnerable women into prostitution. They targeted individuals struggling with drug addiction, homelessness, and economic distress, recruiting them from detox and rehabilitation centers.
Pursuant to 18 USC § 1593, victims of sex trafficking are entitled to restitution for losses incurred due to the offense. The US Attorney’s Office is responsible for enforcing restitution orders, which will be collected over 20 years or until paid in full.
