Darin Lee Meeks, 50, was found guilty of distribution of methamphetamine in March 2021 and sentenced on [no specific date given] in Boise.

According to court records, Meeks is an associate of the Severely Violent Criminals (SVC) and Aryan Knights (AK) prison gangs. On August 13, 2018, Meeks arranged for an ounce of methamphetamine to be distributed at a park in Nampa. An unknown buyer, a confidential informant working with the Treasure Valley Metro Violent Crimes Task Force, was involved in the transaction.

Meeks was again involved in a methamphetamine distribution deal on November 15, 2019, when he personally distributed an ounce of the substance to a confidential informant. This transaction was also part of an investigation led by the Treasure Valley Metro Violent Crimes Task Force.

Meeks has a lengthy criminal history, including felony convictions for aggravated assault in 2003, burglary in 1997, and possession of controlled substances in 2010. Following his prison sentence, Meeks will be under the supervision of the United States Probation Office for four years.

The case was prosecuted by the Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, who was hired by the Treasure Valley Partnership to address gang crimes. The Treasure Valley Partnership is a group of elected officials dedicated to regional coordination and cooperation on regional growth.
