Today, Nicholis Dorsey, a 33-year-old man from Washington, D.C., was found guilty by a Superior Court jury of misdemeanor sexual assault with felony enhancement after attacking five female passengers at various metro transit stations. The verdict was announced by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro.
Dorsey, who has previously been convicted of sexually assaulting three additional women, all strangers to him, faces sentencing on November 14, 2025. According to the evidence and testimony presented, Dorsey approached five women at various metro stations between January and March 2025, touching their buttocks or inner thigh before engaging in prolonged staring and laughter.
After each assault, Dorsey would quickly leave the scene. Detectives from the Metro Transit Police Department responded by creating be on the lookout (“BOLO”) flyers using surveillance footage that depicted the defendant. On March 5, 2025, Dorsey was arrested shortly after the final assault and has been in custody since.
The investigation revealed that Dorsey had three prior convictions for misdemeanor sexual abuse, qualifying him for a felony enhancement under the law. The case was investigated and prosecuted with commendable efficiency by the Metro Transit Police Department and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, which also provided extensive support to all five victims through Victim Advocate Veronica Vaughan.
Chief Michael Anzallo of the Metro Transit Police Department joined U.S. Attorney Pirro in commending the efforts of the investigating and prosecution teams, including Assistant U.S. Attorneys Samantha Soter and LaVater Massie-Banks.
