In a shocking crackdown, ten men from Fort Valley, Georgia, were charged with operating an armed drug trafficking ring in Peach County. The alleged crime spree, which involved the distribution of cocaine base, methamphetamine, and powder cocaine, was uncovered through an Operation Take Back America investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Peach County Sheriff’s Office. The arrests were made on July 16, with six suspects taken into custody in Peach County, Georgia, and Miami, Florida.
Among those charged are Kerry Ross, 52, Bruce Jolly, 37, Chris Jolly, 19, and Danny Hicks, 60, who face a range of charges including conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances, distribution of cocaine base, methamphetamine, and powder cocaine, as well as firearms offenses. The suspects could face life in prison if convicted.
The investigation led to the seizure of 68 firearms, including two machine guns, highlighting the deadly nature of the alleged drug trafficking operation. The case is a significant blow to organized crime in the region and demonstrates the effectiveness of collaborative law enforcement efforts.
The defendants will make their initial appearances in court at a later date, determined by the court. The case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia.
