Elyria Man Charged with Child Pornography

ELYRIA, Ohio – In a shocking case, 56-year-old David H. Six of Elyria has been charged with possessing child pornography, according to Carole S. Rendon, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio.

According to the indictment, images of child pornography were found on a PNY thumb drive in Six’s possession on August 27, 2015.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio is prosecuting the case, with Assistant United States Attorney Carol M. Skutnik leading the charge. The investigation was conducted by the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Cleveland Office.

Six’s sentence will be determined by the court after reviewing factors such as his prior criminal record, role in the offense, and characteristics of the violation. If convicted, the sentence will not exceed the statutory maximum and in most cases will be less than the maximum.

An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Six’s arrest serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting our children from predators. The Grimy Times will continue to follow this case and provide updates as more information becomes available.

The Northern District of Ohio is committed to fighting crimes against children, and this case demonstrates our dedication to justice. We will work tirelessly to ensure that those who harm our children are held accountable.

As the investigation continues, the community is urged to report any suspicious activity to the authorities. Let us work together to create a safer and more just society for all.
