Three Macon scammers peddled guns and meth in a sordid racket that’s been dismantled by federal authorities. The ATF-led probe ripped the lid off a local trafficking network that funneled high-capacity firearms and narcotics to the streets.
Brandon Thorpe, 32, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on April 23. He’s looking at up to 15 years in the slammer and a $250,000 fine.
Lonnie Alexander, 44, copped to distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine on April 21, earning a mandatory minimum of 10 years and a max life sentence, plus a $10 million fine.
John Cato, 25, got 15 years for firearms trafficking after pleading guilty on November 19, 2025, and was sentenced on February 5, 2026.
The U.S. Attorney’s office is teaming up with local, state, and federal authorities to keep the community safe.
