Taisia Soloai Fauolo, a 29-year-old Nevada felon with ties to Sacramento, was busted on October 21, 2025, after acting suspiciously during a law enforcement action in Sacramento. Fauolo was caught crouching behind a parked car and then running through a nearby apartment complex, prompting officers to detain him. A search of the area turned up a 9mm Glock 19 handgun with a 30-round magazine and one round chambered, hidden beneath the rear axle of the car where Fauolo had been seen crouching.
Fauolo’s prior felony convictions for unlawful transport of firearms, participation in a criminal street gang, robbery, and carrying a loaded firearm prohibit him from possessing firearms. The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation with assistance from the San Francisco Police Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Zulkar Khan is prosecuting the case, which is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating violent crime and protecting communities. If convicted, Fauolo faces up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to crack down on illegal firearm possession and violent crime in Sacramento and beyond. Fauolo’s indictment serves as a reminder that those who break the law will be held accountable.
