Russell D. Morris, 36, of Herrin, has been charged with a federal firearm violation. The charges stem from an alleged incident on January 29, 2016, in Williamson County.
Morris, also known as ‘Dickie Donald,’ is accused of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. According to the indictment, the offense occurred just a month before Morris was charged. He is scheduled to appear in federal court on May 5, 2016, to face the charges.
The charges against Morris carry a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. The presumption of innocence remains in place until Morris is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
