Fort Myers Pimp Sentenced to Life in Prison
Fort Myers, FL – Oliver Rocher, a 33-year-old pimp and drug dealer, has been sentenced to life in federal prison for his role in a string of crimes that included drug and firearms offenses.
According to court records, Rocher worked as a pimp and drug dealer out of hotels and motels in Fort Myers during 2017. He sold heroin to a confidential informant on two occasions in May 2017, taking measures to ensure he was not being recorded and conducting the transactions in locations that made it difficult for law enforcement to watch.
Roger’s crimes came to a head in August 2017, when law enforcement executed a search warrant on his motel room. There, they found a loaded firearm, heroin, cocaine, cocaine base, and thousands of dollars in cash. Two women were also found in the room, attempting to flush items down the toilet.
Roger was charged with five counts of a federal indictment, including drug and firearms offenses. He was facing a maximum penalty of life in federal prison and was set to go to trial until he decided to plead guilty on the day of the trial.
The investigation into Roger’s crimes was a joint effort between the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Assistant United States Attorney Michael V. Leeman is handling the prosecution.
The sentencing hearing for Roger was set for December 10, 2018, but he was sentenced to life in prison before that date. His crimes have left a stain on the community, and his victims have been left to pick up the pieces. The case serves as a reminder of the devastating effects of human trafficking and the importance of holding perpetrators accountable for their crimes.
The people behind the crimes are often seen as faceless and nameless, but Oliver Rocher will have to live with the consequences of his actions for the rest of his life. His crimes have caused irreparable harm to the victims and their families, and he will have to face the reality of his actions in the coming years.
Roger’s crimes were a brazen display of disregard for the law and the safety of his victims. He will have to face the music for his actions, and the community can rest a little easier knowing that justice has been served.
