A 61-year-old man who made the FBI’s Most Wanted list for child sex trafficking has been brought to justice. Donald Eugene Fields II pleaded guilty to one count of child sex trafficking in St. Louis federal court. He admitted to accepting cash, a car, a motorcycle, and vacations from a friend and co-defendant in exchange for access to a 14-year-old girl from 2013 to 2016.
The victim was forced to engage in illegal sexual activity with the co-defendant, Theodore ‘Ted’ John Sartori Sr., who provided the child with gifts and vacations in exchange for sex. In 2016, Sartori took the girl on a trip to Florida with the intention of engaging in more sex acts, with Fields instructing the minor to comply.
Fields was arrested in 2025 after a traffic stop in Florida, where he was found to be on the Most Wanted list. He faces a 10-year minimum sentence, with a maximum of life in prison. Co-defendant Sartori, 65, is serving a 10-year prison term for his role in the crime.
The case was investigated by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI, with assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Missouri State Technical Assistance Team. Assistant U.S. Attorney Dianna Edwards is prosecuting the case as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sex trafficking and exploitation.
