OKLAHOMA CITY – Adrian Gomez-Osorio, 40, of Mexico, received a 64-month federal prison sentence for illegal reentry into the U.S. after his arrest in Oklahoma County District Court. The charges stem from Gomez-Osorio’s prior removal to Mexico on July 2, 2020.
On October 17, 2024, Gomez-Osorio was caught within the U.S., having returned without authorization. He was charged with acquiring proceeds from drug activity, aggravated trafficking, and fentanyl trafficking, leading to his conviction in case number CF-2024-5079.
The federal Grand Jury indicted Gomez-Osorio on November 19, 2024, for illegal reentry. He pleaded guilty on February 14, 2025, acknowledging his unauthorized return to the U.S.
U.S. Chief District Judge Timothy D. DeGiusti sentenced Gomez-Osorio on July 23, 2025, emphasizing the importance of upholding the law and protecting the public from future crimes by Gomez-Osorio.
This investigation was led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), with Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany Edgmon handling the prosecution. The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide DOJ initiative targeting illegal immigration, cartels, and transnational criminal organizations.
