A Guatemalan national was caught driving a white box truck in rural Maine with another undocumented alien on board. On March 12, 2026, U.S. Border Patrol Agents in Franklin County spotted the truck heading towards the U.S.-Canadian border, raising suspicions it contained aliens. The agents stopped the truck after it reversed direction.
During a roadside inspection, the agents determined the two occupants were aliens without lawful authority to be in the country. Elmer Enrique Ramirez-Ardon, 33, was identified as a citizen of Guatemala who had been ordered deported and removed from the country in 2014.
Ramirez-Ardon faces up to two years in prison and a $250,000 fine. This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative to repel the invasion of illegal immigration and protect communities from violent crime.
