Jeffrey Brown, a 35-year-old man from Richford, Vermont, was involved in a heated dispute with his neighbors in August 2025. The situation escalated when Brown pointed a handgun at one of his neighbors, with children present. Brown, a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing firearms due to his prior felony convictions for Harassment and Threatening in Connecticut state courts.

Brown’s actions led to a guilty plea for being a felon in possession of a firearm. On June 25, 2026, he was sentenced to 36 months in prison, followed by a 3-year term of supervised release.
