A 36-year-old Hardin, Montana man has been caught with a stash of child pornography. Randall Allen Flatlip admitted in court to possessing the illicit content, which includes videos and images of children being exploited.
The probe began when the government received a tip that someone had uploaded a video of child pornography to a Google account on June 25, 2022. The email address associated with the account was linked to Flatlip, and the subscriber information listed his Hardin address.
When investigators searched Flatlip’s email accounts, they found that several images and videos had been deleted before the warrant was executed. However, a witness came forward, saying they had seen Flatlip accessing child pornography on electronic media while living in Hardin.
Flatlip was previously charged with child pornography possession in Utah in 2016, but he was not convicted. He is now facing up to 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and a lifetime of supervised release.
