Harry Dallas, 44, Convicted of Manufacturing Child Pornography in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – In a disturbing case of child exploitation, Harry Dallas, a 44-year-old man from Philadelphia, was found guilty of manufacturing child pornography. The evidence presented in court revealed that Dallas used a 15-year-old girl, who had been reported missing, as his victim.

The girl, who was 15 years old at the time, had been encountered by Dallas in June 2023 in Center City, Philadelphia. Dallas took advantage of the girl’s vulnerable situation, having no money or shelter, and drove her to his home in Northeast Philadelphia. There, he sexually abused her over several days and recorded videos of himself and the girl engaging in explicit sex acts. He also took photos of her, including one depicting the girl fully nude and asleep.

Dallas used a cellphone to record the videos and take the explicit photos. In 2024, the FBI executed a search warrant on Dallas’ cloud-based account, uncovering the videos and images he had taken of the minor in June 2023.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.

The case was investigated by the FBI and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Justin Ashenfelter and Amanda McCool. Dallas faces a maximum possible term of 90 years in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on June 8.

The guilty verdict in this case serves as a reminder of the importance of combating child exploitation and abuse. It also highlights the bravery of the victim in coming forward and the dedication of law enforcement agencies in pursuing justice for victims of these heinous crimes.
