Philadelphia’s ‘Hood,’ Myron Bernard, and Burlington’s Kevin ‘Kyle’ Forman are in hot water after being indicted for conspiracy to distribute and distributing heroin and cocaine base in Vermont, the United States Attorney for the District of Vermont announced yesterday.
The duo allegedly sold heroin at the intersection of South Willard and Buell Streets in Burlington, with Forman also spreading his illicit wares across various parking lots in Winooski and Burlington. Surveillance following a drug sale led law enforcement to Forman’s residence on Austin Drive in Burlington.
In court earlier this week, Bernard faced a detention hearing scheduled for Monday, April 24, 2017, while Forman was ordered detained pending trial.
Both men are facing serious accusations. According to the Indictment, if convicted, each defendant could spend up to twenty years behind bars. The United States Attorney reminds that these charges are merely accusations and both are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Bernard is represented by the Federal Public Defender for the District of Vermont, while Forman has Richard R. Goldsborough, Esq., on his side. The investigation was a joint effort between the Vermont State Police, the Burlington Police Department, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
This is a stark reminder that the battle against drug trafficking continues, with law enforcement agencies across the nation working tirelessly to combat this dangerous epidemic.
