Heroin Trafficking: Hubbard Man Faces Charges

Andre M. Little, 27, of Hubbard, Ohio, has been charged with federal heroin trafficking charges. According to the indictment, on or about February 13, 2013, Little possessed with the intent to distribute more than 1,000 grams of heroin.

The indictment, which was returned by a federal grand jury in Cleveland, Ohio, carries a serious penalty for Little if convicted. The defendant’s sentence will be determined by the Court after review of factors unique to this case, including the defendant’s prior criminal record, if any, the defendant’s role in the offense, and the characteristics of the violations.

According to the investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration – Youngstown Resident Office led the charge in uncovering Little’s alleged heroin trafficking operation. Assistant United States Attorney David M. Toepfer will be prosecuting the case.

It is worth noting that an indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

In this case, the charge against Little carries significant consequences. If convicted, Little’s sentence will be determined by the Court, but it will not exceed the statutory maximum. In most cases, the sentence will be less than the maximum.

As a reminder, the public should be aware of the dangers of heroin trafficking and the devastating effects it can have on individuals and communities. Law enforcement agencies and prosecutors are working tirelessly to combat this issue and bring those responsible to justice.

The case serves as a reminder of the importance of community vigilance and cooperation with law enforcement in the fight against heroin trafficking and other forms of crime.
