A 30-year-old Irving man, Josue Osorio-Canales, has been sentenced to 216 months in federal prison for transporting child pornography.
According to court documents, law enforcement identified a computer sharing child pornography between January 31, 2015, and February 14, 2015.
A search warrant was executed on June 2, 2015, and analysis of the computer revealed over 1,400 videos and 21,000 images of child pornography.
Osiro-Canales pleaded guilty to one count of transporting child pornography in July 2015.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Plano Police Department investigated the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Camille Sparks prosecuting.
Osiro-Canales was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release following his prison term.
