Orlin Eli Gonzalez, Child Enticement, Florida 2025

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Orlin Eli Gonzalez, 26, of Jacksonville, Florida, is facing a lifetime behind bars after being indicted on charges of attempting to entice a 13-year-old child to engage in sexual activity. The arrest, announced by United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe, marks another grim victory in the ongoing battle against online predators targeting vulnerable children.

According to court documents, Gonzalez, using the online alias “Orlean,” preyed on a minor through a social media application. An FBI agent operating undercover as a 13-year-old – designated as “UC” – initiated contact with Gonzalez between August 28 and September 4, 2025. The interaction quickly turned sinister, with Gonzalez aggressively pursuing sexual conversation and explicit content.

The indictment details a disturbing exchange where Gonzalez, after being explicitly informed the “child” was only 13 years old, questioned the UC about “her” sexual experience and preferences. He didn’t stop there. Gonzalez brazenly requested nude photos, texting “I wanna see you naked” and directly asking if the “child” wanted to have sex. This wasn’t idle chatter; Gonzalez actively sought to arrange a meeting for sexual activity.

The FBI’s investigation revealed Gonzalez intended to meet the UC at “her” residence in Jacksonville. On September 4, 2025, as Gonzalez pedaled a bicycle toward the pre-arranged location, FBI agents moved in and apprehended him. The swift action prevented a potentially devastating encounter and brought a dangerous predator to justice. Gonzalez was ordered detained pending the resolution of the case.

If convicted, Gonzalez faces a minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison, but could receive a life sentence. He also faces a potential lifetime term of supervised release. This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative dedicated to combating child sexual exploitation. The Department of Justice launched the program in 2006, and it continues to be a vital resource in identifying, apprehending, and prosecuting those who prey on children.

An indictment is not a finding of guilt. Gonzalez is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Assistant United States Attorney D. Rodney Brown is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The FBI conducted the investigation. Those with information about potential child exploitation cases are urged to contact their local FBI field office or report it through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
