ORLANDO, FL – A chilling sentence has been meted out in Orlando as Matthew Anthony Inman, 40, was yesterday sentenced by U.S. District Judge Wendy W. Berger to a staggering 20 years in federal prison for transporting child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The maximum penalty was imposed following Inman’s guilty plea on June 5, 2025.
Court documents revealed that from August to October of last year, Inman systematically collected and stored several videos depicting the rape of young boys. His predatory behavior escalated in October when he traveled to Las Vegas, where he engaged in online conversations with a law enforcement officer posing as a parent. Using an encrypted messaging service to evade detection, Inman expressed his desire to sodomize the child, requesting explicit images and videos.
In exchange for such material, Inman sent seven CSAM videos to the undercover officer. His chilling message was, “hope you like” and that he had “lots of videos if you want to watch.”
The FBI swiftly identified Inman as the user behind the encrypted messaging service, securing a search warrant for his electronic devices and residence. During the execution of this warrant, Inman tried to destroy evidence by deleting it from his phone and hiding in his attic.
This harrowing case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Richard Varadan. It is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse.
