Jason Robert Henthorne, 47, Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography Charge in Milton, West Virginia
A 47-year-old man from Milton, West Virginia, has pleaded guilty to possession of prepubescent child pornography, according to a recent plea deal.
Jason Robert Henthorne, of Milton, admitted to possessing more than 1,000 images and videos of child pornography stored on electronic devices at his residence in June 2021. The disturbing content includes images of infants and prepubescent children subjected to sadistic or masochistic conduct.
Henthorne further admitted that one of the images depicts adult males sexually assaulting a prepubescent female. The horrific nature of the charges has left many in the community reeling.
According to court documents, Henthorne is scheduled to be sentenced on April 17, 2023. He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, five years and up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.
U.S. Attorney Will Thompson commended the investigative work of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security-Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in bringing Henthorne to justice. United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers presided over the hearing.
Assistant United States Attorney Julie M. White is prosecuting the case. This case was prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Project Safe Childhood is a nationwide initiative led by the U.S. Attorney’s Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section. The program aims to locate, apprehend, and prosecute those who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims.
