A Centerville man was sentenced to federal prison for distributing methamphetamine in the East St. Louis area and St. Louis, Missouri.
Jeremy Rickman, 31, was sentenced to 100 months in federal prison on April 20, 2018, for Distribution of Methamphetamine, announced U.S. Attorney Donald S. Boyce.
Rickman had previously pled guilty to a one-count federal indictment on December 4, 2017. At his change of plea hearing, Rickman admitted to distributing approximately 75 grams of ICE (99% pure methamphetamine) in 2016.
The methamphetamine was sold in the East St. Louis area and in St. Louis, Missouri, with Rickman receiving approximately $2,500.00 for the ICE he sold.
Rickman’s arrest and conviction were the result of an investigation conducted under the auspices of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF). The OCDETF initiative brings together federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to identify, target, and dismantle large national and international drug trafficking organizations.
The investigation that led to Rickman’s conviction was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the United States Postal Inspection Service, and the Internal Revenue Service.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert L. Garrison.
