ASHEVILLE, N.C. – John Quentin London, 39, of Hendersonville, N.C., faced a federal judge today after being sentenced to 188 months in prison followed by six years of supervised release for drug and gun offenses. This severe penalty follows his conviction for violating federal supervised release.
London’s sentence is the result of his repeated involvement in drug distribution while under supervision for a prior firearm conviction. His latest transgressions included distributing methamphetamine and possessing firearms, all while on federal supervised release.
On April 18, 2024, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies seized drugs and paraphernalia from London’s vehicle during a traffic stop. A subsequent pursuit led to the discovery of more drugs and a firearm at his residence.
In another incident on July 25, 2024, HCSO deputies intercepted London with an astonishing amount of methamphetamine in his car. Later that month, they located him hiding with a loaded pistol and more drugs.
London pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possessing a firearm by a felon on June 30, 2025. He had previous felony state convictions for drug trafficking, which qualified him as a career offender, enhancing his sentence.
In today’s announcement, U.S. Attorney Russ Ferguson thanked the ATF and HCSO for their diligent work in this case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher S. Hess prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.
