Local Woman Sentenced for Involvement in Multistate Drug Ring

Rapid City, South Dakota, has seen a surge in crime activity, with the recent sentencing of a 24-year-old woman for her role in a multistate drug ring.

Jordan Dolney, a resident of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, was sentenced to 16 months in federal prison for her involvement in the distribution of a controlled substance, specifically a mixture of heroin and fentanyl. This sentence is in addition to three years of supervised release and a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.

The conviction stems from Dolney’s assistance to her co-defendant, Thomas Beetem, in obtaining the illicit substances. Dolney also played a key role in coordinating the distribution and transfer of the substances to another individual in Rapid City, South Dakota.

According to court documents, Dolney was initially indicted by a federal grand jury in February 2022 for Distribution of a Controlled Substance. She pleaded guilty on October 7, 2022, and was subsequently sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey L. Viken on December 16, 2022.

This case marks a significant victory for law enforcement agencies, including the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, Meade County Sheriff’s Department, and the Pennington County Sheriff’s Department.
