Jose Domingo Aguilar, Illegal Reentry, Pennsylvania 2025
HARRISBURG, PA – A 38-year-old Guatemalan national, Jose Domingo Aguilar, has been sentenced to time served and possible deportation after being found guilty of illegal reentry in Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
Aguilar, who has been living illegally in the United States, was arrested on September 23, 2025, after being charged with several DUI-related offenses, including one count of Driving Under the Influence, one count of DUI with a Blood Alcohol Content of +0.16, two summary counts of driving with a suspended license, and one summary count of disregard for traffic laws. Those charges were filed by the Chambersburg Police Department in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
Aguilar has been removed from the United States three times, most recently through Texas in 2015, and reentered without obtaining legal permission to do so.
According to United States Attorney Brian D. Miller, Aguilar’s actions demonstrate a blatant disregard for the law and the immigration process.
The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that targets illegal immigration, cartels, and transnational criminal organizations. The operation streamlines efforts and resources from the Project Safe Neighborhood initiative.
The case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Kelley K. McGraw prosecuting the case.
Aguilar’s sentence of time served, approximately six months, is a stark reminder of the consequences of illegal reentry. His possible deportation is a further consequence of his actions.
