FAYETTEVILLE, AR — In a shocking turn of events, Joshua James Duggar, a 33-year-old Springdale man, was arrested yesterday for receiving and possessing child pornography. According to court documents, Duggar allegedly used the internet to download this disturbing material in May 2019.

The charges against Duggar include receiving and possessing child pornography, with each count carrying a maximum sentence of up to 20 years of imprisonment and fines up to $250,000. The case will be prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Carly Marshall and Dustin Roberts, and Trial Attorney William G. Clayman of the Justice Department’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section. An indictment is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
