Justice for Victims: Operation Reach Out Ceremony Underway
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – In a somber reminder of the ongoing fight against violence against women, United States Attorney Mike Stuart is set to host the 19th Annual Operation Reach Out Opening Ceremony. This year’s event is part of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, April 7-13, 2019.
According to sources, the ceremony will honor federal, state, and local partners who have demonstrated Excellence in Victim Advocacy and Justice. Mr. Stuart will present awards to these individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions in the fight against violence against women.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Robert C. Byrd United States Courthouse, located at 300 Virginia Street East, 5th Floor, in Charleston, W.Va. The event will begin at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 9.
Operation Reach Out is a testament to the unwavering commitment of law enforcement and community leaders to protect and serve the victims of violence. As the nation observes National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, the importance of this event cannot be overstated.
