Kevin Lillis, Distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material, Louisiana 2025

A Metairie man has been sentenced to 175 months in prison for distributing child sexual abuse material.

Kevin Lillis, 51, was sentenced by United States District Judge Jane Triche Milazzo on July 30, 2025, after previously pleading guilty to distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2252(a)(2).

Lillis was also ordered to serve 15 years of supervised release after his term of imprisonment, pay a $100 mandatory special assessment fee, and register as a sex offender.

A restitution hearing is set for October 28, 2025.

According to court documents, Lillis was investigated by the FBI after receiving a case referral based on evidence gathered in an unrelated investigation.

Special agents with the FBI executed a search warrant at Lillis’s residence in March 2024 and seized electronic devices that contained files depicting the sexual victimization of children and obscene visual representations of the sexual abuse of children.

Among the files were images of newborn infants less than one day old, as well as dozens of images and videos portraying sadistic or masochistic conduct or other depictions of violence.

Lillis distributed the files on numerous days between January 2024 and March 11, 2024.

Agents also discovered conversations Lillis had with other users of end-to-end encrypted messaging applications, in which he stated he had engaged in hands-on sexual contact with multiple prepubescent minors as young as between eight and ten years old over the past two decades.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Lillis’s case was investigated by the FBI and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jordan Ginsberg.
