Kevin Lillis, Child CSAM Distribution, Louisiana 2024

New Orleans – A disturbing case of child exploitation has hit the federal courts as Kevin Lillis, 50, of Metairie, Louisiana, was indicted for distributing and receiving child sexual abuse material (CSAM), according to U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans.

The indictment reveals that Lillis distributed graphic depictions of minors, including a prepubescent female bound and unclothed, among other explicit content. The charges also include visual representations of children as young as four years old engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

Not only did Lillis distribute such material, but he also received it. His collection included visuals of infants, as young as less than one week old, subjected to sexual abuse and obscene acts by adults.

Lillis faces a mandatory minimum of five years in prison for each count under Title 18, United States Code, Sections 2252(a)(2) and 1466A. He also risks supervised release of up to a lifetime and fines reaching $250,000 per count. Additionally, he may be required to register as a sex offender.

U.S. Attorney Evans emphasized that an indictment is merely a charge, and the guilt of the defendant must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The FBI played a pivotal role in this investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Jordan Ginsberg, Chief of the Public Integrity Unit, will lead the prosecution.
