Missouri Woman Sentenced for Methamphetamine and Gun Charges

In a shocking turn of events, 44-year-old Kietra R. Studdard of Fenton, Missouri has been sentenced to 115 months in federal prison for her involvement in a string of methamphetamine and gun-related charges.

According to court documents, Studdard was arrested on May 22, 2019, after officers with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on her blue Buick LeSabre. During the stop, Studdard admitted to having a pistol in her purse and was subsequently arrested after methamphetamine was found in her possession.

A search of the vehicle revealed numerous boxes of pseudoephedrine tablets, which Studdard admitted would be used to cook methamphetamine. These charges carry significant penalties, and Studdard’s prior felony conviction makes her ineligible to possess a firearm.

The case was investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zachary Bluestone. Studdard’s sentence serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of engaging in illicit activities and highlights the importance of continued law enforcement efforts to combat the scourge of methamphetamine.

Kietra R. Studdard’s criminal charges include possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of pseudoephedrine with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The sentencing occurred on today’s date in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, with Judge Sarah E. Pitlyk presiding over the case.
