Kiristien M. Joyner and Marshall W. Duty Face Methamphetamine Charges
Carbondale, IL – In a shocking turn of events, Kiristien M. Joyner, a 27-year-old resident of Carbondale, Illinois, has been charged with methamphetamine offenses in a federal indictment. According to a recent press release, Joyner was indicted on November 8, 2016, in a three-count superseding indictment charging methamphetamine violations.
Joining Joyner in the indictment is Marshall W. Duty, a 58-year-old resident of Dongola, Illinois. Both individuals are charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, as well as one count of unlawful distribution of methamphetamine. The indictment alleges that the offenses occurred between 2013 and October 3, 2016, in Union, Jackson, and Williamson Counties.
Joyner made her initial appearance in federal court on November 10, 2016. Following a detention hearing on November 15, 2016, she was ordered held without bond pending a jury trial scheduled for January 9, 2017. Duty had previously made an appearance in federal court.
