A Lockport man is facing serious federal charges after being accused of coercing a minor into sex acts and producing child pornography. Damon Singleton-Spencer, 33, allegedly enticed a minor victim on four separate occasions, including June 2019 and three times in 2020, 2021, and 2022. He’s also accused of possessing a cache of child porn on a hard drive and other devices in February 2024.
The investigation was led by the FBI’s Buffalo office and the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. Singleton-Spencer was arraigned in federal court and faces up to life in prison if convicted.
Assistant US Attorney Colleen M. McCarthy is handling the case. The indictment highlights the severity of the charges and the potential penalties, including a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison.
The alleged crimes took place over a period of years, with the most recent incident occurring just last February. The indictment serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting children from exploitation and abuse.
