George Earl White Jr, Narcotics Distribution, Louisiana 2024

Alexandria, La. — The federal justice system has dealt a blow to the drug trade in central Louisiana with the conviction of George Earl White Jr., 36, of Alexandria, for his role in distributing illegal narcotics.

After a three-day trial before United States District Judge Dee D. Drell, White was found guilty of one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine. His co-conspirators included Derrick Anthony Felton, 40, Reginald Felton Jr., 27, and Darian Dewayne Napoleon, 35.

The evidence against White was compelling. Testimony revealed that he conspired with the others to sell drugs in central Louisiana, with Derrick Felton traveling to California to obtain large quantities of methamphetamine for shipment back to Louisiana.

During the investigation, law enforcement agencies, including the Louisiana State Police, seized approximately 33 kilograms of methamphetamine, 1 kilogram of heroin, 1 kilogram of powdered cocaine, and 4 pints of promethazine cough syrup. The intent was clear: to distribute these drugs to White and his associates for resale.

‘The evidence was strong in this case, leading the jury to a guilty verdict,’ said U.S. Attorney David C. Joseph. ‘White and his co-conspirators were spreading danger throughout Central Louisiana. This conviction sends a clear message that we will not tolerate those who profit from drug trade-related death and despair. My office will continue to disrupt criminal organizations threatening our communities.’

White’s co-conspirators have all pleaded guilty, facing sentences of up to 10 years in prison, five years of supervised release, and a $10 million fine. White has been sentenced for September 5, 2019, while Derrick Felton’s sentencing is set for June 21, 2019.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and Louisiana State Police, with Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jamilla A. Bynog and Brandon B. Brown prosecuting the case.
