Lower Brule Man Charged With Sexual Abuse of Minor
Lower Brule, SD – A man from Lower Brule, South Dakota, has been charged with a heinous crime that has left the community in shock. Daniel Berry, 25, has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Sexual Abuse of a Minor.
According to the indictment, Berry knowingly engaged in and attempted to engage in a sexual act with a minor who had not yet turned 16 years old. If convicted, Berry faces up to 15 years in custody and/or a $250,000 fine, up to life of supervised release, and $100 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. Restitution may also be ordered.
