Fugitive Convicted of Online Enticement of a Minor in Washington
A Spokane County jury has convicted Lucas Murphy, a Tri-Cities man, of Online Enticement of a Minor, a federal crime. According to court documents, on August 2024, Murphy abducted a minor from Kennewick, Washington, to New Mexico.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Washington announced the conviction, stating that Assistant United States Attorney Laurel Holland was instrumental in holding Murphy accountable for his crimes. Holland, a founding member of the U.S. Attorney’s Branch Office in Richland, Washington, has been recognized for her extensive work prosecuting cases involving the exploitation of young children.
