96 Months in Prison for Methamphetamine Possession
A California man has been sentenced to 96 months in prison for possessing with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of pure methamphetamine, the Grimy Times has learned.
John Earl Beridon, 47, of Canyon Country, California, was sentenced by United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher for his role in the crime. Beridon’s sentence includes a five-year term of supervised release, with no parole in the federal system.
The investigation into Beridon’s activities began on July 9, 2020, when agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration were at the Federal Express facility in Ralston, Nebraska. It was there that they seized a package containing 392 grams of pure methamphetamine.
Further investigation revealed that the package had been shipped from California, where Beridon was seen near the Federal Express store just a day before the package was set to arrive. Beridon then flew out to Nebraska on the day before the package was scheduled to arrive, and was arrested after retrieving the package.
