Former Commercial Pilot Found Guilty of Internet Stalking
San Antonio, TX – A federal jury convicted Mark Joseph Uhlenbrock, 69, for internet stalking, according to a recent conviction.
The jury found that Uhlenbrock used the internet to harass and intimidate another person from May 2020 to September 2020. As a result, his victim suffered substantial emotional distress.
This disturbing behavior included posting nude photographs of the victim on the internet without their consent. The act was a blatant disregard for the victim’s rights and a cruel exploitation of their privacy.
This case highlights the devastating consequences of internet stalking. The victim’s emotional distress is a stark reminder of the importance of respecting people’s boundaries online.
Uhlenbrock’s actions were all the more egregious given his prior conviction for internet stalking the same victim in 2016. He was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison and three years of supervised release.
In a shocking turn of events, Uhlenbrock continued to stalk his victim despite being on supervised release. His arrest on December 10, 2020, brought an end to his reign of terror, but not before he caused irreparable harm to his victim.
Uhlenbrock is scheduled to be sentenced on August 30, 2023. The FBI is investigating the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorneys William Calve and Karina O’Daniel are prosecuting the case.
U.S. Attorney Jaime Esparza of the Western District of Texas and FBI Special Agent in Charge Oliver E. Rich Jr. made the announcement. The case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of holding perpetrators accountable for their actions online.
