Ellis Harris faces a minimum sentence of five years in prison, a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison, a fine of not more than $5,000,000, or both. Judge Mark R. Hornak scheduled sentencing for May 16, 2016.
The law provides for the actual sentence to be determined based upon the seriousness of the offense and the prior criminal history of the defendant. The court continued Ellis Harris’s detention pending sentencing.
