Nicky Parfait, a 37-year-old from Houma, Louisiana, has been indicted for possessing and intending to distribute large quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl, as well as violating federal gun laws. On July 16, 2026, a federal grand jury handed down the indictment, which includes charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm and possessing a firearm to further a drug trafficking crime.
The indictment alleges that Parfait had 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 40 grams or more of fentanyl, with the intent to distribute. He also faces charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm and for possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
If convicted, Parfait faces a minimum of 10 years in prison for the possession with intent to distribute charge, and up to life in prison. He also faces a minimum of 15 years in prison for the felon in possession charge, and a minimum of 5 years in prison for the possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime charge.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney André Jones of the Narcotics Unit.
