Meth Kingpin Pleads Guilty in LA
Kerry Wayne Walker, 50, a notorious methamphetamine dealer from New Orleans, has pleaded guilty to being part of a conspiracy to traffic large quantities of methamphetamine and heroin in the French Quarter area.
According to court documents, Walker and his co-conspirators planned to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine and 100 grams of heroin. This egregious crime carries a minimum 10-year prison sentence and a maximum life imprisonment, along with five years of supervised release.
The investigation, led by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the New Orleans Police Department, began in 2013, when agents discovered Walker’s role as a key distributor in the area. He was subsequently arrested during the same year.
Walker’s co-defendants are currently set to face trial on June 24, 2013. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kevin G. Boitmann.
Special Agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the New Orleans Police Department worked tirelessly to bring Walker to justice. This conviction serves as a stark reminder of the devastating impact of methamphetamine trafficking on our communities.
