A 39-year-old Mexican national’s second stint in the US ended in trouble when he pleaded guilty to sneaking back in after being booted out in 2012.
Candio Tierra Blanca-Quesada’s luck ran out when he was picked up in the Eastern District of Louisiana on December 29, 2025, just a few months shy of four years since his first forced departure.
The US Attorney’s Office says Tierra Blanca-Quesada is looking at up to two years in the can, a fine of up to $250,000, and a year of supervised release for violating Title 8, Section 1326(a) of the US Code.
The investigation was led by US Customs and Border Protection, with Assistant US Attorney Shannon Kippers handling the prosecution.
