MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA — The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has dropped a bombshell with the announcement that Jaclyn Campbell, 24, of Muskogee, has pleaded guilty to the heinous crime of Concealing Person from Arrest.
This charge stems from an investigation by the United States Marshal Service. Campbell was indicted back in November 2014 for her despicable actions.
The court documents指控 that on October 2, 2014, Campbell knowingly harbored Joshua Allen Barnett, a wanted man with a felony warrant out for his arrest. She did so with the full knowledge that doing so would prevent his discovery and subsequent apprehension.
Judge Kimberly E. West, Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma in Muskogee, has accepted Campbell’s guilty plea. A presentence report is now being ordered, after which sentencing will be scheduled. The defendant remains on bond until then.
The severity of the crime means that Campbell faces a sentence not exceeding five years imprisonment and/or a fine of up to $250,000. Assistant United States Attorney Shannon Henson represented the U.S. in this case.
