New Orleans, LA – A young man has been hit with a heavy sentence for attempting to conduct drug deals from inside a hospital. Eric Falkins, 19, faced U.S. District Judge Nanette Jolivette Brown on August 14, 2025, where he was sentenced to 66 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release. The court also imposed a $300 mandatory special assessment fee for his role in drug trafficking and possession of a firearm.
