A notorious nightclub owner in Morgantown, West Virginia, is going down for running a house of horrors. Mike Sheriff Scott, 47, has been convicted of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, alongside associates Rachelle Gaston and Phineas Chaplin.
The operation, centered at CowGirlz Nightclub on Earl Core Road, served as a front for Scott to sell methamphetamine and fentanyl, as well as stash his supply of illicit drugs smuggled in from out-of-state.
Evidence revealed that Scott exploited individuals struggling with substance abuse disorder, paying them in controlled substances to renovate the building and prepare it for operation.
A shooting in Monongalia County led investigators to obtain a search warrant for the nightclub, where they found five pistols, including two used in the shooting, hidden inside a secret compartment. Seized evidence also included methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
