Pedro Andony Alvarado Aguilar, Illegal Reentry, Rhode Island 2025

Defendant Charged with Crime in State Year

Pedro Andony Alvarado Aguilar, 49, a Guatemalan national, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Rhode Island on a charge of illegal re-entry, announced Acting United States Attorney Sara Miron Bloom.

According to court records, Aguilar was convicted in federal court in Connecticut in November 2014 on charges of conspiracy to import 5,000 grams or more of cocaine and conspiracy to import 1,000 grams or more of heroin. He was deported on July 1, 2015.

Court documents allege that Aguilar illegally re-entered the United States and was present in Rhode Island.

Aguilar is scheduled to be arraigned in U.S. District Court in Providence on May 12, 2025. A federal indictment is merely an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Peter I. Roklan.

The matter was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations Immigration and Custom Enforcement.
